Makoto Ito adalah seorang muda Jepang siswa SMA awal masa jabatan kedua di Akademi Sakakino fiksi. Sehari-harinya dia selalu naik kereta api ke sekolahnya, saat itu ia sangat tergila-gila pada Kotonoha Katsura, seorang gadis yang juga menaiki kereta yang sama. Ketika pada saat perkenalan diri dikelas, Sekai Saionji, mengetahui rahasianya kalau dia menaksir Kotonoha, ia membantu memperkenalkan keduanya satu sama lain dan dari waktu ke waktu mereka tumbuh lebih dekat dan setuju untuk saat ini. Namun meskipun upaya bangga dan penuh kemenangan, Sekai secara tidak sengaja menjadi cemburu pada pasangan barunya Makoto.Sore berikutnya dalam perjalanan pulang di stasiun kereta terdekat di depan sekolah, Sekai melihat Makoto menunggu Kotonoha untuk kencan. itu menarik di; cepat bergegas ke dalam mobil penumpang terbuka dan
bahagia penawaran keberuntungan kaget Makoto pada tanggal-nya.

A shy and unconfident teenager has become very accepting at only stealing glances at a cute girl as they ride the same trolley each morning on their way to their high school. At least until Saionji Sekai surprises Itou Makoto and chances to get a peek at a photo-snap of the beautiful Katsura on his cell-phone. After evilly teasing Mokoto about his forlorn crush, Sekai offers to support him in his romance. So after many Makoto-pep-talks and lots of scheming, the three become close friends. Close enough that Makoto braves asking Katsura out on date. And she agrees. Later that day, Makoto finds a quiet moment express his thanks for all support that Sekai has offered him, and makes clear his intent on finding away to reply her kindness. But he is totally unprepared and very surprised at the reward that Sekai has chosen. Sekai steals a long kiss from his lips, before breaking away to run for the trolly. Sekai turns and wishes Makoto well on his date.

Synopsis
Makoto
Ito is a young Japanese high school student beginning his second term
at the fictional Sakakino Academy. During his daily train rides to
and from school, he becomes infatuated with fellow student Kotonoha
Katsura; a girl that also commutes. When a new classmate acquaintance
of his, Sekai Saionji, discovers his secret crush on Kotonoha, she
helps introduce both of them to each other and over time they grow
closer and agree to date. However in spite of her proud and triumphant
matchmaking efforts, Sekai inadvertently becomes jealous of the new
couple, having also developed feelings toward Makoto.
The following afternoon on her way home at the nearby train station in front of the school, Sekai finds Makoto waiting for Kotonoha to rendezvous for a date. He sits with her and reiterates his appreciation for her help, and feeling heavily indebted, offers repayment anyway he can.
